About data-subject requests
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act (KDPA, 2019), you have rights over your personal data held by cart.ke. This page explains how to exercise them.
If you are a seller (have an account)
- Most data rights are self-serve through your dashboard:
- Access + portability: /dashboard/account/data-export — download a zip of your store data (products, categories, subscription and payment history as JSON files, plus your product photos as real image files).
- Rectification: /dashboard — edit any incorrect data directly.
- Erasure: /dashboard/account/cancel — cancel your subscription; deletion follows the 30-day data-export window.
- For other requests (restriction of processing, objection, complaint), contact support — see /support/contact-us.
If you are a buyer (no account)
cart.ke stores only anonymous session data tied to a random cookie identifier — no name, email, or phone number. To request the deletion of anonymous data linked to a specific session token, contact support.

Response time
We respond to data-subject requests within 30 days as required by KDPA Article 41. Complex requests may extend to a further 60 days with notice.
